Chicken Paprikash

  •
  • Serves: 4
  • Prep Time: 15 min.
  • Cook Time: 26 min.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium onion, halved and sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound(s) boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoon(s) paprika, divided
  • 1/4 cup(s) Lea & PerrinsĀ® Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup(s) sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon(s) fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Convert to metric

Cooking Instructions:

1. In a large skillet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray over medium-high heat, sauté onion and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes, until softened. Add the chicken and sauté for additional 6 to 8 minutes, or until browned on all sides, adding more cooking spray if needed. Add 1 1/2 Tbsp. paprika and briefly sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

2. Deglaze the pan with Worcestershire; add tomatoes, celery and sugar. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

3. In a small bowl, mix remaining 1/2 Tbsp. of paprika with sour cream. Stir in half of sour cream mixture just before serving. Serve over rice or noodles, topping with remaining sour cream mixture and garnish with cilantro.

Tip:

Substitute celery with bell peppers and parsley for cilantro, if desired.
